Rising out of a fort‑like base that will eventually house a museum and exhibition spaces, the bronze warrior statue stands about 140 feet tall on a 40‑foot pedestal, making the total height around 180 feet and placing it among the tallest statues in India dedicated to a single historical figure. Work on the statue and the surrounding Shambhu Srishti theme park has been driven by the Pimpri‑Chinchwad Municipal Corporation and local leaders as a long‑term cultural landmark that celebrates Maratha history, particularly Sambhaji’s resistance and sacrifice in the late 17th century. Inauguration events in 2025 already featured thousands of dhol‑tasha drummers and traditional shastra‑pooja rituals for the sword, and when fully completed the complex is planned to include warrior statues, light‑and‑sound shows and storytelling spaces that turn this empty ground you captured in February 2026 into a major pilgrimage spot for history and pride.
