A roar shudders the ground beneath my feet. The storm has left its weight behind, flooding the earth in torrents that claw at the void. Darkness presses in with a violence that deafens. I stagger toward the horizon. The sun burns low, yet its warmth is being devoured. Fractured and torn, the sky breaks into sharpened shapes—testing my grasp on what remains of order, shadows above continue to crush the air from this place. The urge to escape coils tight. Peace slips away, not stolen but dissolved, leaving me caged within a mind that no longer trusts its own. A day like any other has become a battleground. Goodbye—Hello, Sun. \--------------- This artwork was created from 4 sunsets layered and blended from my photography archive. Interestingly, the sunset that anchors the ethereal top of the art is also taken at the highest altitude on an escarpment (where I physically stand) and the bottom clouds, resembling water rushing into a void, was taken at the lowest (ie: ditch vs road). I live in the prairies, so it is very flat. No AI was used to create this artwork.
